Cherie, where’s my car?

Tony Blair came down to earth with a bump when there was no car or bodyguards to meet his train.

The ex-PM and his wife Cherie were left in limbo for several minutes at Darlington station after his train from King’s Cross, London, arrived 40 minutes late.

It was a far cry from the carefully arranged travel plans he has been used to for a decade, reports The Sun.

But Mr Blair saw the funny side, asking a schoolboy: “Are you my bodyguard?”

The couple were eventually driven with a police escort to their home in Sedgefield.
